"Escapees" from a the daily turmoil of life in Southern California to our own little piece of heaven in Middle Tennessee.
In October of 2009 we left the hustle and bustle of Southern California in order to find a tranquil little farm in Middle Tennessee where we could raise Great Pyrenees and Nubian goats.
We found that little piece of heaven near the small town of Baxter, about 100 miles west of Knoxville and 70 miles east of Nashville. It is an area of lakes, rolling farmland and green forest as far as the eye can see.
We enjoy deer in our front yard munching on apples that have fallen from the trees, wild turkeys strutting through the fields and the beautiful sounds of Whippoorwills on warm summer nights.
Our Pyrs have all been raised with our Nubians as well as our family Lab, chickens and ducks. They have enjoyed their role as protectors of our livestock and are exceptionally well mannered and have extremely gentle dispositions.
As soon as the pups are 8 weeks old they will be offered for adoption ONLY to families who have large rural property or farms for them to roam on OR have land with livestock to guard. Please do not inquire about our pups if you reside in an apartment or if you have a home in a suburban neighborhood. We also require that you have a secure fenced enclosure if your Pyr is to be left outside as they do have a tendency to roam if not contained or have livestock to guard. We also request that you read up on the breed before deciding as Pyrs are not your average dog. They are extremely independent, highly intelligent, difficult to train and will bark at night as this is their breed trait.
Up to this point we have never required deposits however due to the number of people who have reserved, then not shown up, we are forced to implement a deposit requirement on all puppy reservations. The deposit amount is $100 and will be applied toward your puppy adoption fee. Deposit is not refundable should you decide not to pick up your puppy. Personal checks will be accepted as long as the reservation is made at least 14 days prior to picking up your puppy.
All AKC registered pups will have a Vet certification showing that the first two puppy shots and worming will have been completed prior to adoption and that the pups are in good health overall. Pedigrees on both parents going back 4 generations. Adopting families will be responsible for all shipping costs and kennel expense for adoption outside of the Middle Tennessee area. Delivery can be arranged within the Nashville/Knoxville areas upon request. AKC registration will be included for each adoption.
